Description

In any business we know that people are the key to a successful company.  Therefore – it is vital to your business to have the right people and human resources processes and practices in place that provide a positive experience for your employees and / or contractors and support your business plans.

Are you feeling overwhelmed and confused with where to start with your people practices review?  And how do you know what the best people practices, and processes are for your business?  Or, have you recently identified a concern in one of your people processes and need to have a better understanding of gaps in your HR processes?

Completing your HR Audit with HRonHand will assist you in identifying your current people practices, identify what processes are working well and assist in establishing the roadmap to better human resources processes and systems within your business.

What is a HR Audit?

A HR Audit is a comprehensive method used to review and measure the effectiveness of your business’s current human resources practices, identify priorities for improvement and enhancement of the people practices and processes in your business from a short-term, medium, and longer-term perspective and assists with your implementation plan.

What are the key benefits of HR Audits with HRonHand?

  • Cost effective way of setting the best practice baseline standard for HR within your business
  • Reduces that feeling of being overwhelmed by partnering with HRonHand to establish your HR Plan focused on several key high priorities for your company aligned to your strategic business plans.
  • Importantly, Human resource audits can help identify whether your human resources specific practice areas or processes are adequate, legal, and effective.
  • Performing an HR Audit is especially important because it reduces the risk of being liable for what are deemed “unfair employment practices”. Legal issues and conflicts can be extremely costly, and HR audits are a proactive way for your business to minimize the costs associated with such compliance issues.

What do we need from you to make the HR Audit an effective process?

To get a better understanding of your human resources related needs we will ask you to complete a short summary about your company, including:

    • Number of employees and / or independent contractors
    • Your management structures
    • Current company culture and team dynamics
    • High level details about your product / service mix and scale of the business
    • Main reason for conducting a HR Audit

Your company details will assist in defining the scope and type of HR Audit that is applicable to your business needs (see below)

  • As part of the HR Audit we take you through a questionnaire (via Zoom or Phone) around your current people practices. The questions focus on such key human resource areas as:
    • Employee Engagement – Recruitment, Selection, and Induction
    • Workplace behaviour
    • Employee / Independent Contractor Agreements
    • Work Health and Safety
    • Performance Management, employee training, and development
    • Work-life balance
    • HR Planning and administration: payroll, employee / contractor documentation and record keeping
    • Termination of employment, redundancy, resignations and stand downs

What does your HR Audit include?

  • Personal one-on-one time, via phone or zoom, with a member of our HR team to complete your HR Audit Questionnaire
  • Based on your questionnaire responses, your company’s current people practices are benchmarked against human resources best practice, specific tasks and priorities identified and ranked as High – short term and relevant now, Medium– next important , and Low – to consider for your future business planning needs.
  • You will receive a printable soft copy of your HR Audit Results / HR Plan, via email, within one week of completing your questionnaire and prior to your debriefing session.
  • You will be supported through the process by a Human Resources team member with dedicated one-on-one time (via zoom or phone) for your debriefing session to review and discuss your HR Audit / HR Plan results.
  • Your business HR Plan focuses on the top three high priority tasks identified in your HR Audit to meet your immediate needs, and lists other medium or low priorities for future consideration and implementation.
